Mostar Memorial & Museum

The Center for Peace and Muti-Ethnic Cooperation team is working toward an ambitious and transformative vision: establishing a Memorial & Museum in Mostar that will preserve and honor the memories of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s and the former Yugoslavia’s most difficult times, including those in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Kosovo. This project is still in its planning stages, but our goal is clear: to create a space that not only reflects on history but actively shapes the future.

Envisioned as a place of remembrance, the center will also serve as a vibrant educational hub where cutting-edge technologies—such as artificial intelligence and digital innovation—meet cultural exchange, allowing for a rich, interactive experience. It will house art galleries to showcase works that tell powerful stories of resilience and peace, as well as spaces designed for workshops, discussions, and exhibitions that bring together diverse perspectives and foster meaningful dialogue.

Through this Memorial & Museum Center, the Center for Peace aims to bridge divides, bringing religions, cultures, and peace-building initiatives into constructive conversations that inspire and educate. Our goal is to create a place that draws people from around the world, not just to reflect on history but to be a part of a forward-thinking community dedicated to lasting peace and understanding.
