A remarkable evening: Premiere of the documentary “Justice” and promotion of the photo-monograph “Heroes of Mostar”
Sarajevo - On the anniversary of the Hague Tribunal's verdict in the case of "Prlić et al.," the Multimedia Hall of the Sarajevo Memorial Fund hosted a screening of the documentary "Justice" and the promotion of the photomonograph "Heroes of Mostar". The event was organized by the Sarajevo Memorial Fund, the Center for Peace and Multi-Ethnic Cooperation Mostar, and Mostar Museum.
Attendees included Željko Komšić, Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Denis Bećirović, Member of the Presidency, Federation of BiH Vice Presidents Refik Lendo and Igor Stojanović, Kemal Ademović from the House of Peoples, Federal Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar, Islamic Community leader Husein ef. Kavazović, Mostar Mufti Selem ef. Dedović, UNSA Rector Rifat Škrijelj, and numerous generals of the Army of RBiH. Families of fallen soldiers, "Mothers of Srebrenica," and other distinguished guests also attended.
Speakers, including the photomonograph’s author Safet Oručević, Rasim Muratović, Ahmed Kulanić, and Emir Suljagić, emphasized the importance of preserving the legacy of the Hague Tribunal and combating genocide denial. An international conference on crime denial and wartime rhetoric was announced, to be coordinated among centers in Sarajevo, Srebrenica, and Mostar.
The documentary "Justice" highlights the citizens of Mostar's fight for justice and peace, while the photomonograph "Heroes of Mostar" showcases the heroic resistance of Mostar’s people through over a thousand photographs from 1992-1995.
