Premiere of “Justice” Documentary and “Heroes of Mostar” Photo-monograph

Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina - The National Theatre in Mostar hosted the premiere of the documentary “Justice” and the photomonograph “Heroes of Mostar”, organized by the Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation, the Museum and Memorial of Mostar, and the Unique Organization of Veterans of Mostar. The event marked Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Statehood Day and reflected on the 2017 final verdict of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the "Prlić et al." case.

The documentary features a detailed chronology of the war in Mostar, ICTY rulings, and exclusive footage of the destruction of the Old Bridge by Croatian forces. Safet Oručević, Director of the Center for Peace, emphasized that the footage exposes the historical truth, countering decades of misinformation.

Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, and Federal Minister Nerin Dizdar stressed the importance of acknowledging past atrocities for future reconciliation.

Key speakers also included Dr. Ahmed Kulanić, Director of the Memorial Center Sarajevo, Dr. Zilha Mastalić Košuta from the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity at the University of Sarajevo, and Alija Behram, journalist and publicist. Each provided reflections on the ICTY’s rulings and their implications for justice and historical memory.

The event reaffirmed a collective commitment to preserving the truth and honoring those who defended Mostar.
